Fruitport volleyball team fights long and hard to stay alive in third set, but falls to Coopersville 3-0

The Fruitport volleyball team fought extremely hard to stay alive in the third and final set, but ended up falling to Coopersville 3-0 on Tuesday in O-K Blue conference action.

The Trojans lost the first two sets 25-18 and 25-13.

The third set was a marathon. In a normal set the first team to reach 25 points, with at least a two-point advantage, wins.

Fruitport kept fighting far beyond that in the third set, however, finally falling by a highly unusual score of 31-29.
