Every Fruitport cross country runner set a personal best time at Covenant Christian Invitational

Both Fruitport cross country teams finished in the middle of the pack against a lot of tough competition at Saturday’s Autumn Sunrise Charger Invitational at Grand Rapids Covenant Christian High School.

The good news is that every Trojan runner on both teams heated up and set personal best times.

The Fruitport boys finished in fourth place with 90 points in the Autumn Division. Byron Center took first place with 52 points.

The top Trojan runner was Vincent Pollock, who came in sixth place individually at 16:35.

Levi Bol was 34th with a time of 17:37, Alex Wilber was 43rd at 17:49 and Landon Johnson came in 52nd at 18:20.

In the girls race, Fruitport came in sixth place with a score of 123. Zeeland East took first place with a 54.

Fruitport’s Tatum Dykstra finished in fifth place individually with a time of 19:02.

Lauren Lee was 20th at 20:13, Valerie Pollock was 26th with a time of 20:33, Tresa Dykstra was 48th with a 21:27 mark and Kaylynn Pavlige was 50th with a time of 21:30. [2]
