Regular season conference champion Mona Shores opened the O-K Green tournament with a big win Tuesday. The Sailors topped Muskegon 12-0 to advance to the second round.
Two Sailors netted hat tricks on the night, with Ali Trautner and Shay Norden both scoring three times. Molly Wolf added two goals, while Kelcy Benedict, Mikayla Benedict, Maya Cooper and Ella Kinney each scored once.
Cooper added three assists, while Wolf had two. Kinney, Norden, Mikayla Benedict, Lilly Houle, Summer Darrow and Ava Freye each had one assist.
Mona Shores will play the winner of Zeeland West and Grand Rapids Union in the next round Thursday at 6:45. The Sailors are now 10-4-1 overall this season, including 7-0-1 in the O-K Green.
