The Fruitport baseball team had good pitching on Tuesday, but two bad innings cost the Trojans in a pair of conference losses to Hamilton.
Ryan Bosch pitched brilliantly in Game 1, striking out nine and only giving up one hit over six innings.
The game was tied 0-0 headed into the seventh inning, then Hamilton scored once in its final at-bat to secure a 1-0 victory.
Hamilton completed the sweep with an 8-2 win in Game 2.

Fruitport pitcher Trevor Rusnak did well for four of his five innings, but Hamilton scored five times in the second to take control.
Bosch hit two triples for the Trojans while Cody Nash hit his first home run of the season.
Fruitport will host Hamilton for the final game of the series on Thursday, then will compete in the Holland West Ottawa Invitational on Saturday.
“In our conference the pitching is so tough,” said Fruitport Coach Nick Reed. “We battled and had better approaches (at the plate) today. Time to work and get ready for Thursday.”
