The Whitehall girls soccer team opened the season with a 2-1 victory over Shelby on Wednesday night.
Morgan Garcia and Abbey Beerman each had goals for the Vikings which were assited by Ava Garcia.
Brie Hamman stopped six Shelby shots to pick up the victory.
NORTH MUSKEGON 5, HART 0
North Muskegon – Alex Johnson three goals. Jaley Schultz one goal. Sam Johnson one goal.
Hart – Maya Chickering 22 saves.
OAKRIDGE 1, FREMONT 0
Oakridge – Kate Utzinger one goal. Amaya Anderson one assist. Cadence Veen 10 saves.
Fremont – Kate Mellema two saves.
Records – Oakridge 2-1, 1-0. Fremont 1-2-1, 0-1.
