The Mona Shores softball team totaled for 38 runs on Tuesday in their doubleheader sweep over Grand Rapids Union.

The Sailors won the opener 16-0, then cruised to a 22-2 victory in the nightcap.

Mona Shores pitcher Grace Michelli struck out nine batters in Game 1, while allowing just one hit and one walk.

Brooklyn Graham, Amelia Pena, Maddie Russell, Michelli each had three hits for the Sailors, while Kylie Geoghan, Mia Geoghan, and Addy Huffman had two apiece.

In Game 2, Russell pitched the win, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out seven batters.

Graham, Huffman, Pena and Nevaeh Cortez each had four hits, while Russell added three hits and four RBIs.
