The Mona Shores girls soccer team opened conference play with a dominant win Tuesday night. Mona Shores topped Holland 8-0 in its first O-K Green match of the year. 

Eight different players scored a goal for the Sailors. Ali Trautner, Katie Phillips, Maya Cooper, Shay Norden, Ava Freye, Mikayla Benedict, Ali Phillips and Addison Fisher each found the back of the net. 

Lauren Hylland and Lilly Houle both had two assists. Cooper, Trautner, Elizabeth Eckerman and Ella Kinney had an assist each. 

Jersey VanderWall earned the clean sheet in the net. 

Mona Shores is now 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in O-K Green play. 

Western Michigan Christian picks up shutout win

The Warriors downed Covenant Christian 2-0 in a win Tuesday. Elaina Clapp made six saves in the net, while Brooklyn Watts scored both WMC goals.

Kaiya Betten and Nadia Burr each had an assist for the Warriors.
