The Whitehall boys basketball team sewed up a share of the West Michigan Conference Lakes Division championship on Thursday with a 70-57 win over Orchard View on the final night of the regular season.

The Vikings led 20-19 after one quarter and 35-32 at halftime. They gained their advantage with an 18-12 edge in the third quarter and a 17-13 edge in the fourth.

Cam Thompson had another huge game for the Vikings, pumping in 26 points while adding 20 rebounds and six assists. Trannon Aylor added 14 points for Whitehall.

Whitehall and Ludington finished tied at the top of the Lakes Division standings with 11-1 conference records.

The Vikings finished the regular season 17-5 overall while Orchard View was 2-19.
