Wednesday boys hoops district roundup: Fruitport Calvary comes from way behind to down Muskegon Catholic

The Fruitport Calvary Christian boys basketball team came from way behind on Wednesday to defeat Muskegon Catholic Central 61-48 and keep its season alive.

MCC led by as many as 16 points in the first half and had a 31-19 advantage at halftime. Fruitport Calvary roared back in the second half, outscoring the Crusaders 21-8 in the third quarter to take a 40-39 lead headed into the fourth, then sealed the victory with a 21-8 edge in the final quarter.

Bradley Richards posted 28 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Eagles. Quinn Swanson added 15 points and 6 rebounds while Sam Zelenka tossed in 12 points.
