The North Muskegon boys basketball team gave it everything it had but lost a 49-46 heartbreaker to Pewamo-Westphalia on Monday in a Division 3 regional semifinal game at Kent City High School.
The Norse started out with a 5-0 lead, but otherwise the scored stayed within three points for the entire contest.
The game was tied 13-13 after one quarter and 25-25 at halftime. Jaxon Lisinski scored all 13 points for the Norse in the first quarter.
P-W led 38-37 after three quarters, then the game came down to the wire and the Norse fell just short.

Lisinski finished with 19 points for North Muskegon. Troy McManus added seven points and 10 rebounds while Denny Belmonte and Adam Dugener each scored six points.
Jamison Ecklund had a game-high 29 points for Pewamo-Westphalia.
North Muskegon finished the season with a 19-5 record and its third consecutive Division 3 district championship.
