The Kent City girls basketball team took home a Division 3 district championship on Friday night with a 49-45 victory over rival Morley Stanwood.
Lexie Bowers led the Eagles with 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Hailey Kamphuis added 16 points.
Savnnah Miller totaled 10 points while Madelyn Geers had six points and nine rebounds.
Kent City will next travel to Shelby for regional semifinal action against Saugatuck scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m.
