The Spring Lake girls basketball team advances to the D2 district finals after beating Hudsonville Unity Christian 53-46 on Wednesday in the semifinals.

The Lakers led 11-8 after the first quarter and 25-19 at halftime.

Hudsonville Unity Christian tied the game 41-41 heading into the fourth quarter before the Lakers closed it out on a 12-5 run.

The Lakers were paced by Ella Andree with 14 points and four rebounds, while Alexa Carter added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Emma Nicles chipped in with six points.

Spring Lake will travel to face Allendale on Friday in the district finals.
