The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball team defeated Muskegon Catholic 37-26 on Friday night to win a Division 4 district championship.

The Eagles led 8-4 after one quarter before trailing 14-13 at half.

In the third quarter, Fruitport Calvary outscored Muskegon Catholic 8-6 to take a 21-20 lead.

The Eagles started the fourth quarter on a run and never looked back to pickup the victory.

Nora Pollock led Fruitport Calvary Christian with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 11 steals while Kamea Sutherland added 11 points and five rebounds.

McKena Wilson had 10 points and four rebounds for the Eagles.

Muskegon Catholic who finishes the season 7-15, was led by Carrie Ladd with eight points.

The Eagles are now 12-12 overall and will next play in the Division 4 regional semifinals at New Buffalo against Kalamazoo Hackett at 5:45 p.m.
