Spring Lake held off a challenge from a hot-shooting West Catholic team to pick up a conference victory Tuesday night. The Lakers topped the Falcons 55-47 in O-K Blue action.
Spring Lake led 19-15 after one quarter, 31-26 at halftime and 43-38 after three quarters. A 12-9 edge in the fourth helped the Lakers close the game. West Catholic did most of its damage from behind the arc, knocking down 11 three-pointers on the night.
Zane Stahl powered Spring Lake with a career-high 21 points and nine rebounds. Zach Schlepp added 15 points and six rebounds, while Wren Dephouse scored nine points, including key free throws down the stretch.
Spring Lake is now 9-6 overall this season, including 6-3 in O-K Blue play.
