The Oakridge girls basketball team closed out their contest strong and completed a 40-37 comeback victory over Fremont on Thursday night.

The Eagles jumped out to a 16-8 lead and had a 22-21 halftime advantage.

The Packers took a 36-32 lead heading into the final quarter before Oakridge closed out the game going on an 8-1 run to seal the win.

Anna Lundquist paced the Eagles with 18 points, 17 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Destyni Lane added nine points, seven rebounds and three steals.

The Packers were led by Jessica Bennett with 12 points, while Lily VandenBerg scored eight and Mia Clemence had seven points and five rebounds.

Oakridge improved to 12-4 on the season and is 6-3 in conference play.
