Fruitport now turns its attention to the state team tournament, which begins with districts on Wednesday in the Trojans’ home gym.

“We wrestled tough in a tough conference tournament,” said Fruitport Coach Chad Johnson. “Our goal was to place in the top three as a team. Without everyone on the team competing that goal wouldn’t have been possible. I’m proud of everyone for doing their part individually to make our team a team. That has been our main focus throughout the season, to put our team first and the result will come.”
