Grace Sweet and Aubre Johnson each scored 10 points for the Fruitport girls basketball team on Friday, but the Trojans continued to struggle.

Fruitport ended up falling 52-27 to Holland Christian. The Trojans have now lost nine straight games since winning four of five back in December and early January.

The Trojans only trailed 11-5 after one quarter, then were outscored 10-0 in the second and trailed 21-5 at halftime.

Holland Christian had a 39-11 lead at the end of three quarters.

“There are always things that we can learn from every game we play,” said Fruitport Coach Brian Packard. “These girls work so hard at practice and they battle in games. I hope that we can start to put some pieces together.”
