Friday girls hoops roundup: Oakridge earns its second win in two days, defeats WMC in non-league action

The Oakridge girls basketball team earned a non-league win on Friday against Western Michigan Christian by a 55-50 margin.

The Eagles led 9-6 after the first quarter, 22-18 at halftime and 35-31 through three quarters of play.

Anna Lundquist paced Oakridge with 18 points, 14 rebounds, six steals and two blocks, while Kaelinn Jozsa added 17 points and eight rebounds.

The Warriors were led by Ashley Folkema with a game-high 25 points to go along with six rebounds and five blocks. Alia Zuidema and Kirsten VanOrman each added seven points.

The Eagles improved to 13-4 on the season and are currently 6-3 in league play, while WMC drops to 7-8 overall.
