A big second half propelled Oakridge to a league win over Fremont Tuesday night. Fremont held a 12-point halftime lead, but Oakridge battled back for a 61-58 win.
The Packers led 20-12 after one quarter and 37-25 at halftime. Oakridge started its comeback with a 17-12 edge in the third, powered by 11 points from Matt Danicek.
Oakridge then used a 19-9 edge in the final quarter to pull ahead for the three-point win.
Peyton Ruel led the Eagles with 17 points and eight assists, while Danicek finished with 15 points and five rebounds. Evan Jozsa added 12 points for Oakridge and Evan Miller scored nine.
Chaz Miller had a game-high 21 points to lead Fremont. Jordan McDonald scored 19 and Gavin Richards added 10 points for the Packers.
Oakridge is now 7-10 overall and 4-5 in the West Michigan Conference Lakes division. Fremont falls to 8-7 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
