The Fruitport boys bowling team bounced back from a disappointing performance on Monday and dominated Grand Rapids West Catholic on Wednesday, 24-6, in O-K Blue conference action.
The Trojans swept the two regular games from West Catholic, 911-711 and 816-673.
Four Fruitport bowlers swept both of their regular games. Gage Wadland beat his opponents by scores of 160-127 and 162-61, Zach Durakovic won 183-106 and 118-112, Bradon Krohn came out on top by scores of 191-172 and 245-167, and Jray Conklin won his matchups 238-160 and 180-177.
[1]The Trojans split the baker games, losing the first 155-146 and winning the second 201-137.
“The boys had a great second baker game and an awesome first team game,” said Fruitport coach Mike Weaver. “I’m happy that they bounced back after Monday, but we will have to be more consistent to have a good finish at the Mona Shores Invite on Saturday.”
The Fruitport girls team only had four players, but still came very close, falling to West Catholic 16-14.
The Trojans lost both regular games, 678-543 and 589-495, but made the match close by winning both baker games, 111-110 and 134-128.
Raegan Dykstra won both of her regular games, 229-150 and 142-139. Brynna Hanson won her second regular game 169-151 and Lil Borntreger won her second game 99-76.
