Coach Mike Weaver was happy with his team’s performance but said the boys needs a more complete effort throughout the lineup over the balance of the season.

“Gage Wadland was awesome today,” Weaver said. “Bradon Krohn had a day that we’ve been expecting.”

The Fruitport girls team also did well, qualifying for the team quarterfinals. The Trojans lost in the round of eight, but no score from that match was available.

Brynna Hanson had a very good outing, finishing second individually in the tournament with a 162-231-170-563 series.

Raegan Dykstra had a 449 series, followed by Lil Bontrager (280) and Naomi Hoshino (230). [2]
