Friday boys hoops roundup: Solid fourth quarter leads to a 57-49 win for Montague over Fremont

The Montague boys basketball team finished strong on Friday, resulting in a 57-49 win over Fremont in West Michigan Conference action.

The game was tied 12-12 after the first quarter and the Wildcats led 25-20 at halftime. The Packers cut their deficit to 37-36 heading into the final quarter before Montague closed out the game going on a 20-13 run.

Braeden Johnston led the Wildcats with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Owen Raeth added 14 points and pulled down four rebounds.

Montague improves to 4-3 on the season and 2-2 in league play while the Packers are 3-3 on the season and 2-2 in conference action.
