Ludington’s boys basketball team continued its hot start to the season with another victory Tuesday, topping Reed City 67-50. The Orioles trailed in the third quarter, but finished on a 34-14 run to claim their eighth win. 

Ludington led 14-9 after one quarter and 28-21 at halftime. Midway through the third, Reed City took a 36-33 lead. Ludington then caught fire, outscoring the Coyotes 34-11 the rest of the way. 

David Shillinger led the Orioles with 27 points, including 16 in the second half. Spencer Holmes added 16 points for Ludington and Daniel Ramirez scored nine. Ludington hit 11 threes in the win. 

The Orioles are now 8-0 on the season, including 3-0 in the West Michigan Conference Lakes Division.
