The Whitehall boys basketball team earned a 58-48 comeback win against Montague on Thursday in a West Michigan Conference game.

The game was tied 12-12 after the opening quarter and the Vikings trailed 28-22 at halftime.

Whitehall stormed back in the third quarter, going on an 18-4 run to take a 40-32 lead heading into the final stanza. The Vikings won the fourth quarter by an 18-16 margin.

Kal Koehler paced Whitehall with 26 points and seven rebounds while Camden Thompson added 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Jack Houtteman led defensively with eight steals.

The Wildcats were led by Braeden Johnston with 12 points while Paulson Olson scored 10.

North Muskegon cruises to a 60-14 win on the road against Hesperia

The Norse jumped out to a 19-2 advantage after the opening quarter, led 36-8 at halftime and had a 54-14 lead going into the fourth quarter.

James Young filled out the stat sheet for North Muskegon with 11 points, five rebounds, five steals and five assists.

Troy McManus added nine points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Norse, while Sam Gallo scored nine and Brandon Rypstra had eight points.

The Panthers were led by Jake McFalda and Ethan O’Neal with four points apiece.

The Norse are now 3-1 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. They will play at Shelby next Tuesday.

Mason County Central remains unbeaten after a 52-30 victory over Holton on Thursday

The Spartans led 22-9 after the first quarter, 35-16 at halftime and 47-26 through three quarters.

Will Chye paced Mason County Central with 31 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and three assists. Jayden Perrone chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.

The Red Devils were led by Carter Brant with 13 points while Brodrick Fialek had seven points and six rebounds.

The Spartans improve to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in league play, while Holton falls to 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in conference action.

Three players score in double-digits to lead Ravenna to a 61-41 win over Shelby

The Bulldogs led 18-13 after one quarter, 35-19 at halftime and 46-29 heading into the fourth quarter.

Wyatt Young paced Ravenna with 14 points, while Caleb Forsythe scored 11 and Carter Schullo added 10.

The Tigers were led by Carter Claeys with a game-high 18 points.
