The Muskegon girls basketball team picked up a non-conference win over Kent City Tuesday night, moving to 2-0 on the season. Muskegon grabbed an early lead and went on to win 55-43.

The Big Reds led 16-7 after one quarter, 31-14 at halftime and 43-33 after three quarters. 

Bre’Asia Gamble-Jones led Muskegon with 16 points and five assists. Ty’veonna Davis added 13 points and seven rebounds, Aaliyah Winston had nine points and Jalia Martin scored six points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Madelyn Geers led Kent City with 19 points, 16 rebounds and five steals. Lexie Bowers added 16 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists. 

Muskegon moves to 2-0 on the season, while Kent City falls to 1-2.
