The Muskegon Catholic boys basketball team earned their first win of the season, defeating Hesperia 61-49 on Thursday night.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 19-7 lead in the first quarter, led 32-14 at halftime and had a 57-19 advantage heading into the fourth.

Muskegon Catholic had 25 steals as a team and was led by Braden Gustin with 20 points, five steals and four assists. Hunter Schrink added 11 points and seven rebounds while Chase Willer chipped in with 11 points.

The Crusaders improve to 1-1 on the season while Hesperia fell to 0-3 overall.
