Monday boys basketball roundup: Norse unleash offense with a big win over Western Michigan Christian

Four players hit double-figure scoring in North Muskegon’s 76-45 victory over Western Michigan Christian in Monday night boys basketball.

James Young paced the Norse with 22 points, Troy McManus added 17, Sam Gallo had 12 and Lamarkis Graham chipped in 11.

Young and Gallo each had six rebounds while McManus dished off five assists.

Cody Folkema and Fisher Campbell each scored nine points for WMC.

The Norse are now 2-1 on the season.

Fruitport Calvary beats Pentwater 77-42 with big second half

The Eagles led 22-19 at halftime then took control with a 55-23 scoring advantage in the second half.

Bradley Richards led the Eagles with 25 points and 20 rebounds, Quinn Swanson exploded for 19 points and four assists, Gabe VanBaale had 15 points and 12 rebounds and Sam Zelenka added 11 points, nine assists and four steals.

Zelenka and Zach McFarren were each credited with playing strong defense.

Fruitport Calvary is now 2-1 on the season.

Ludington downs TC West 60-53

Matthew Westhouse scored 19 points for the Orioles while Gage Jones added 12 and David Shillinger had nine.

Ludington trailed 14-11 after one quarter but tied the score 23-23 by halftime and took control with an 18-9 edge in the third quarter.

Shelby falls to Grant 48-44

The Tigers led 12-10 after one quarter and 18-14 at halftime, but were outscored 18-9 in the third quarter.

Bishop Lee had a big game for Shelby with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Mason Garcia added 12 points for the Tigers.. [3]
