Fruitport scored its first win of the girls basketball season with a tight win over Fruitport Calvary Christian Tuesday night. The Trojans won 37-35 in a game that was close throughout.

Fruitport led 13-11 after one quarter, but Fruitport Calvary Christian came back to lead 19-17 at halftime. The Trojans pulled back ahead 28-25 after three quarters and held on for the win.

Grace Sweet scored 11 points to lead Fruitport. Auebre Johnson, Mikayla Belasco and Jorja Blackmer had six points each. 

McKena Wilson led all scorers with 15 points for Calvary. Ava Wilson added 10 points, while Nora Pollock had eight points, 14 rebounds, 10 steals and seven assists. 

The Trojans move to 2-1 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 0-2.
