The Fremont girls basketball team feel just short, falling to Ottawa Hills 36-33 on Friday in a non-league game.
The Packers led 7-6 after the first quarter and 17-10 at halftime. Fremont also led 26-22 going into the fourth quarter, but Ottawa Hills closed out the game on a 14-7 tear.
Lily VandenBerg paced Fremont with 11 points.
The Packers are now 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
Western Michigan Christian falls short 48-30 against Potter’s House
Ashely Folkema led the Warriors with 12 points and seven rebounds. Maria Eenigenburg added six points, nine rebounds, and seven steals.
WMC jumped out to a 10-8 advantage after the first quarter, but Potter’s House responded with a 14-2 second quarter run to take a 22-12 halftime lead.
