Camden Thompson poured out 30 points to help the Whitehall boys basketball team defeat Fruitport 57-53 on Friday in a non-league contest.

The Vikings trailed 14-10 after the opening quarter and 24-20 at halftime before going on an 18-13 third quarter run to take a 38-37 lead heading into the fourth.

Whitehall sealed the victory, outscoring the Trojans by a 22-16 margin during the final stanza.

Whitehall freshman standout Camden Thompson, who had 22 points and 15 rebounds in the regional finals loss.

Thompson also pulled down 14 rebounds and had seven steals along with four blocks in the contest. Kal Koehler added eight points while Ca’mar Ready scored seven.

Jayden Perrone leads Mason County Central to a 51-44 win over North Muskegon

Jayden Perrone’s 26-point performance propelled the Spartans to a West Michigan Conference win over North Muskegon on Friday.

The game was tied 7-7 after the first quarter, then Mason County Central went on a 15-11 second quarter run to take a 22-18 halftime lead.

The Spartans led 35-32 after the third quarter and closed out the game closed with a 16-12 fourth quarter run.

Will Chye added 14 points for the Spartans.

The Norse were paced by James Young with 13 points and four steals while Troy McManus added 11 points and eight rebounds.

Ludington cruises to a 70-49 victory over Fremont to remain unbeaten early in the season

 The Orioles jumped out to a 10-6 lead after one quarter and never looked back.

Ludington led 33-22 at halftime and 53-39 after three quarters before coasting to a victory.

The Orioles were led by David Shillinger with 19 points, while Aiden Gilchrist had a career-high 15 points.

The Packers were led by Jordan McDonald, who posted an impressive 27-point performance.

Ludington improves to 2-0 overall, while Fremont falls to 1-1 on the season.

Mona Shores falls short by a 71-62 against Lowell in a non-league contest

The Sailors trailed 20-15 after one quarter, before Lowell extended that mark to 36-28 at the half.

Mona Shores was able to claw back to a 49-46 deficit entering the fourth, before allowing Lowell to pull away in the fourth for the win.

Johnathan Pittman paced the Sailors with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Mona Shores falls to 1-1 overall on the season.

Fruitport Calvary earns first win of the season, defeats Holton in a non-league game 67-40

The Eagles got out to a quick 30-22 lead at the half, then cruised to a 27-point victory with a strong second half of play.

Bradley Richards’ impressive 28-point performance led the Eagles, with Quinn Swanson (16) and Gabe VanBaale (18) also reaching double digits.

The Red Devils, who fell to 0-2 on the season, were led by Carter Brant with 19 points.

Montague pulls away early, defeats Orchard View 62-34 in a West Michigan Conference contest

The Wildcats jumped out to a 17-2 lead after the first quarter, 33-11 at halftime and had a 46-17 advantage going into the fourth quarter.

Isaiah Atchison led Montague with 18 points and 16 rebounds while Owen Raeth scored 11.

WMC falls to Potter’s House 71-45 in boys basketball

 The Warriors trailed 19-8 after the first quarter and 40-14 at halftime.

Fisher Campbell led WMC with 12 points while Cody Folkema added seven.
