The Spring Lake boys basketball team rode a hot start to a 74-43 win over Sparta Tuesday. With the win, Spring Lake head coach Bill Core now has 300 victories in his coaching career. 

Spring Lake dominated the first quarter with a 21-4 edge. The Lakers led 37-14 at halftime and 58-28 after three quarters. 

Four Lakers scored in double figures in the win, led by Zane Stahl and Karson George with 15 points each. Zach Schlepp added 12 and Carter Ball chipped in 10. Jax Bricker scored eight points for Spring Lake, while Wren Dephouse grabbed 10 rebounds.

Spring Lake is now 2-1 overall this season and 1-0 in the O-K Blue.
