The North Muskegon volleyball team dug deep and defeated Western Michigan Christian on Thursday night in a Division 3 district semifinal contest.

The Norse won by scores of 25-16, 18-25, 25-18, 20-25 and 15-8 to advance to the district finals, which will be Friday against Saugatuck.

Joslynne Bogner and Allie Jensen paced North Muskegon with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Sami Baker chipped in with 39 assists and four aces.

The Norse were led defensively by Baker with 23 digs, while Jaley Schultz added 20.

North Muskegon is now 22-13-4 overall on the season.

Kent City cruises past White Cloud to win a Division 3 district championship

The Eagles won by service scores of 25-13, 25-9 and 25-7 against White Cloud on Thursday in the district title contest.

Maddie Geers and Lexie Bowers led Kent City with seven kills apiece while Jacee Hoffman added four aces and 20 assists.

Kaden Perkins led the Eagles defensively with 18 digs while Geers had 14.

The Eagles are now 35-6-4 on the season and will face Shelby on Tuesday in the regional semifinals at Holton.

Montague cruises to a three-set win over Orchard View in district semifinals

The Wildcats defeat Orchard View by scores of 25-14, 25-4 and 25-7 to advance to the district finals.

Anastasia Trevino led Montague with 12 kills, while Britta Johnson added six. Alissa Wynn was strong serving the ball with 13 aces and Jaelyn Sundberg chipped in with 25 assists.

The Wildcats are now 24-24-1 on the season and will play Fruitport on Saturday for a district title.

Fremont defeats Tri-County in three straight sets to advance to district finals

The Packers won by scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-19 against Tri-County on Thursday in the district semifinals.

Sage Vandenberg paced Fremont with 13 kills, while Kendall Barnhart and Carle Bruggema each had five aces. Bruggema chipped in with 30 assists.

The Packers will take on Sparta on Friday for a district championship.
