The Fruitport volleyball team rallied in a Division 2 district semifinals contest against Whitehall in five-sets on Thursday night.

The Trojans lost the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-22 but came right back to win the final three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 15-12 to move on to the district finals.

Sadie Haase paced Fruitport with 14 kills while Hope Straley added six. Gracelynn Olson chipped in with 25 assists.

The Trojans were led defensively by Kayla Kolberg with 31 digs and Olson, who had 17 on the night.

The Vikings (19-22-5) were led by Arianna Black with 11 kills, Kayla Mulder with four aces, Sydney Shepherd with 40 assists and Chase Baker with 34 digs.

Fruitport will look to earn a district title on Saturday morning against Montague.
