ANTICIPATED TEAM STRENGHTS
The Lakers are more athletic and faster this year, but they will need to overcome youth and varsity inexperience as the season progresses. They have strong senior leadership and some key returning players to help guide the younger, inexperienced players as they adapt to the speed of the varsity game.

ANTICIPATED TEAM CHALLENGES
As the Lakers work through their growing pains and building team chemistry, they should improve throughout the season.

TEAMS TO BEAT IN THE CONFERENCE
Grand Rapids West Catholic has not lost an OK Blue conference game in three years and will be the favorite again this season, according to Coach Hyde. Last year there was a five-way tie for second place which included the Lakers, and they will be working to stay in the top half of the league this season.

FIRST GAME
