The Montague volleyball team cruised to a conference win Tuesday. Montague topped Manistee in straight sets in a West Michigan Conference Lakes match.

The Wildcats won by scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-14.

Alissa Wynn served up nine aces and had eight digs defensively. Anastasia Trevino led the team with 11 kills, while Ava Pumford, Britta Johnson and Laura Borras had five each. Jacy Arrigotti added five aces and six digs.

Montague is now 15-16 on the season, including 4-1 in the WMC Lakes. 

Sailors breeze by Muskegon

Mona Shores picked up a quick three-set win over Muskegon in O-K Green volleyball action Tuesday night. The Sailors won 25-9, 25-5 and 25-3 to claim their fifth conference win.

Kyann Hellmann had 18 assists and nine aces to lead the way, while Izzy Sturtevant added eight aces. Grace Allen had six kills, while Jersey VanderWall had five and Maddie Russell and Ava Dunn collected four each. VanderWall also had four blocks.

Mona Shores is now 17-6 on the season and 5-2 in conference play. 

Fruitport falls to Holland Christian

The Trojan volleyball team dropped an O-K Blue match with Holland Christian in straight sets Tuesday. Fruitport lost by scores of 25-11, 25-11 and 25-23. 

Sadie Haase and Gracelynn Olson both had five kills to lead the Trojans, with Olson adding nine digs. Kayla Kolberg had a team-high 13 digs. Tara Sweet had eight digs and three aces for the Trojans.
Fruitport is now 10-9 overall this season and 1-7 in the O-K Blue. 

Rockets take conference match with Holland

Reeths-Puffer swept an O-K Green match against Holland Tuesday night, winning by scores of 25-14, 25-21 and 26-24. The win moves the Rockets’ overall record to 10-10-2.

Madisyn Dykema led the team in kills with 13 and added in three aces and a dig. Sophia Hekkema contributed nine kills and two aces offensively and 10 digs and two blocks on defense.

Lauren Nelson had six kills, three digs and two aces, while Allison McManus had six kills, two digs and a block. 

Whitehall takes down Fremont in four sets

The Whitehall volleyball team picked up a four-set win over Fremont Tuesday, winning by scores of 25-18, 14-25, 25-17 and 25-11.

Brianna Hamann and Kayla Mulder both had 10 kills to lead the Vikings, while Bella Fogus had nine. Chase Baker and Sydney Shepherd had three aces each, with Shepherd adding 40 assists.

Baker led the team in blocks with 15, followed by Arianna Black with 10.

Whitehall is now 11-14-5 on the season and is 3-1 in the West Michigan Conference Lakes. 

Pirates sweep Ravenna

Hart’s volleyball team picked up a straight-sets win over Ravenna Tuesday night. The Pirates won by scores of 27-25, 25-19 and 25-20. 

Addi Hovey led Hart with seven kills, while Mya Chickering had five and Kelsey Copenhaver had four kills and seven assists. Mariana VanAgtmael served five aces, while Hovey and Copenhaver had two each. 

VanAgtmael led the team with 10 digs, followed by Chickering with nine, Grace Gamble with seven and Copenhaver with five.

Hart is now 19-4-4 on the season and is 3-1 in the West Michigan Conference Rivers division.

Oakridge sweeps Orchard View

The Eagles picked up a sweep of Orchard View Tuesday, winning by scores of 25-13, 25-18 and 25-23. 

Kaelinn Jozsa led Oakridge with eight kills, followed by Madison Babinec and Andrea Romero with five each. Haley Seewald had 15 assists and Gracie Willea had five. The team had a total of 17 aces.

Oakridge’s record is now 11-11-1 on the season, including 2-2 in conference play. 

Ludington tops Mason County Central 

The Orioles took a match with Mason County Central in straight sets Tuesday night. Ludington won by scores of 25-16, 25-18 and 25-9.

Tori Dunblazier led Mason County Central with five kills. Alayna Rafter had nine assists and two aces and Charlie Banks added five digs.

Grand Haven falls to Rockford 

The Grand Haven volleyball team lost a tightly-contested match against Rockford in O-K Red conference action Tuesday. The Bucs won the first set 25-22, then fell 25-14, 25-23 and 27-25 in the following three sets. 

Kam Burbridge led Grand Haven with 11 kills, followed by Izzy Whittaker with 10 and Eden Smith with 4. Taylor Smaka totaled 25 digs for the Buccaneers, while Burbridge had five blocks.
