Trayce Tate had a monster night for Hart on Friday night as the Pirates defeated Hesperia 44-6 in a West Michigan Conference contest.

With the victory, Hart improves to 6-2 overall. Those six wins are the most for the Pirate program since 1992, when the also won six games.

Tate totaled 127 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries to lead the offensive effort. Connor Edwards added 81 rushing yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

Adrian Tice led the Pirate defense with six tackles on the night, including four sacks.

Hart led 16-0 after one quarter, 22-6 at halftime and 28-6 after three quarters before adding 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.

Hart will next travel to Ravenna to close out the regular season.
