The Kent City volleyball team had a strong Saturday, going 5-0 and winning the Dig Pink Invitational at Kent City.
The Eagles defeated Orchard View, Calvin Christian and Holton in pool play, before defeating Tri County and Calvin Christian in bracket play.
Maddie Geers led Kent City with 36 kills, 46 digs, eight aces and five blocks on the day while Lexie Bowers finished with 24 kills, 17 aces, 39 digs and three blocks.
Kent City is now 25-4-2 overall on the season.
Montague has long day at Jenison tournament
The Montague volleyball team went 0-4-1 on Saturday, losing to Zeeland West, Forest Hills Central, Grandville and Holland Christian but tying with Unity Christian.
Laura Borras led the Wildcats with 19 kills and 27 digs.
Jaelyn Sundberg had 54 assists on the day while Alissa Wynn had 33 digs.
Montague is now 15-20-1 overall on the season.
Mona Shores goes 1-3 in home invite
The Mona Shores volleyball team defeated Grand Rapids Catholic Central but fell to Western Michigan Christian, Grand Haven and Portage Central on Saturday.
Kyann Hellmann led the Sailors with 98 assists and 21 digs on the day while Ava Dunn totaled 41 kills and six aces.
Mona Shores is now 18-9 overall on the season.
Reeths-Puffer struggles at Mona Shores Invite
The Reeths-Puffer volleyball team went 0-4 on Saturday, losing to Hudsonville, Zeeland East, Forest Hills Eastern and West Catholic.
Sophia Hekkema led the Rockets with 15 kills, 16 digs, one block and one ace while Natalie Kunnen totaled nine kills, six blocks and six digs.
Reeths-Puffer is now 13-14-2 overall on the season.
