After a scoreless first half, the Muskegon Catholic football team used a 14-0 third quarter advantage to defeat Centreville 14-6 on the road Friday night.

A 13-yard touchdown run by Bryan Convertini gave the Crusaders a 6-0 lead with 9:34 remaining in the third quarter.

Later in the quarter, Convertini punched in a one-yard run to extend the lead to 14-0 with 1:33 left in the third quarter.

A Centreville touchdown with 8:29 remaining in the game cut the Crusader lead to 14-6 which was the final score.

Convertini led the Crusader offense with 110 yards and two scores on 21 carries while David Hill totaled 70 yards on 13 carries.

Sam Kartes led the Crusader defense with 13.5 tackles on the night.

The Crusaders are now 6-2 overall and will wrap up the regular season next week at Tri County.
