Monday soccer roundup: Montague shuts out Ravenna 4-0 in West Michigan Conference clash

The Montague boys soccer team defeated Ravenna 4-0 on Monday night in a rivalry matchup.
Chris Aebig led the Wildcats with one goal and two assists on the night while Owen Raeth, Lucas Husband and Andy Hernandez all had one goal.
Zach Henderson had two assists on the night for Montague while Ben Mischler totaled 14 saves in the victory.
Fruitport opens O-K Blue Conference Tournament with 3-1 victory
The Fruitport soccer team defeated Allendale 3-1 on Monday night to open up O-K Blue Conference tournament play.
Bode Anspach led the Trojans with two goals and assist in the victory while Sean Gieske also netted a goal in the win.
Picking up assists for the Trojans were Jackson Rebone and Jorge Burgos Yack.
Goalkeeper Justin Laus had 10 saves in the victory to help Fruitport improve to 9-6-2 overall on the season.
Fruitport will next take on Hudsonville Unity Christian on Wednesday night in round two of tournament play.
Ludington downs North Muskegon
The Ludington soccer team defeated North Muskegon 2-1 in a West Michigan Conference matchup.
Mason VerStrat and Spencer Holmes each netted goal for the Orioles in the victory while Holmes and Parker Wendt each had an assist.
Goalkeeper Connor Rudzki made seven saves, helping Ludington improve to 17-1-1 overall and 9-0 in conference play.
Whitehall powers past Fremont
The Whitehall soccer team defeated Fremont 4-1 in a conference game on Monday night.
Jack Houtteman netted the first Vikings goal to give Whitehall a 1-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, Corbin Vanderstelt made the score 2-0 in favor of the Vikings before a goal from Tee Ward put Fremont on the board.
Kyler Frees and Vanderstelt each netted insurance goals to help Whitehall ice the game away.
Whitehall is now 6-6-1 overall and 5-3-1 in conference while Fremont falls to 4-12-1 overall and 1-8 in conference.
