The Oakridge boys soccer team extended their season with a 6-2 win over Orchard View in the Division 3 district semifinals on Wednesday.

Arturo Romero paced the Eagles with a three-goal hat trick, while Isaac Willard, Ian Thompson and Dallas Meyers each scored once.

Oakridge led 3-0 at halftime on two goals by Romero and a tally from Willard.

Romero completed the hat trick early in the second half.

The Cardinals scored their lone goal from Trenton Hanks to cut the deficit to a 4-1 margin.

Thompson and Meyers closed out the scoring for Oakridge.

Ryan Cribbins had two assists for the Eagles while Brayden Mahnke and Romero each had one.

Oakridge goalkeeper Keegan Williamson stopped eight shots in net.

The Eagles, who will face the winner of Grand Rapids West Catholic and Grant, are now 11-8-1 on the season.

Orchard View ends its season with a 2-16-1 overall record.
