The Reeths-Puffer football team woke up in the second half and downed Lansing Everett 35-0 on the road on Friday.
The Rockets finished the regular season with a 6-3 record and will now await Sunday’s MHSAA playoff pairings to see who they will play in the first round of districts next week.
Reeths-Puffer will be making its first state playoff appearance since 2013.
The game was scoreless at halftime, then the Rockets took control.
[1]Quarterback Brady Ross threw a pair of touchdown passes to Tayte Vanderleest, covering 35 and 25 yards, respectively. Bryce Ross converted a two-point attempt after the second TD to put the Rockets up 14-0.
Brody Johnson broke loose for a 55-yard touchdown run with 25 seconds left in the third quarter.
Tyviea Williams had a 55-yard fumble recovery scoop-and-score in the fourth quarter for R-P, then an Johnson added a 15-yard scoring run to cap things off.
