The Spring Lake football team scored the final 23 points on Friday night to defeat Hamilton in comeback fashion by a 31-16 margin.
The Lakers trailed 16-8 at halftime with their lone score coming on a 13-yard touchdown run by Alex Lee.
Spring Lake came out of the halftime locker room ready to go, scoring 16 third quarter points on a 48-yard touchdown run by Gerrit Lyyski and a one-yard scamper by quarterback Reid Grimmer.
The Lakers closed out the scoring with a two-yard touchdown run by Lee with 2:27 remaining in the contest.
Lee paced Spring Lake with 160 rushing yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns, while Lyyski added 109 yards from the ground on five attempts and one score.
Derrick Paggeot caught two passes for 20 yards while Grimmer was 2-for-4 passing for 20 yards.
Lee also paced the Laker defense with seven tackles while Noah VanDreumel added five.
Spring Lake improves to 2-5 on the season and will have a tough task next weekend against Hudsonville Unity Christian.
