Wednesday boys soccer roundup: North Muskegon cruises past Orchard View

 

The North Muskegon boys soccer team cruised to an 8-2 victory over Orchard View on Wednesday night in a West Michigan Conference clash.

Gabe Lenius and Brandon Winter paced the Norse with two goals and an assist each, while Ben Hoffer and Max Lasser each added a goal and an assist.

Cole Johnson and Leighton Hunt also found the back of the net for North Muskegon.

Hunt and Chase Zizak each spent time in net for the Norse and combined to stop six shots.

The Norse are now 5-7-3 on the season and 3-1-2 in league play.

Bryce Jorissen scores four goals to lead Hart to victory over Fremont

The Pirates cruised to a 9-1 on Wednesday in a West Michigan Conference contest.

Bryce Jorissen paced Hart with four goals, while Guillermo Ortega added three. Emmanuel Ortega and Tony Rayo each chipped in with a single goal.

The Packers lone goal was scored by John Vissia.

The Pirates outscored Fremont 6-0 during the second half of play.

Hart goalkeeper Ryan Clark stopped seven shots on net, while the Packers had nine saves as a team, seven by Ben Mellema and two by Caleb Vissia.

The Pirates improved to 6-4-1 on the season and 2-3-1 in conference play, while Fremont fell to 4-8-1 overall and 1-5 in league competition.

Fruitport finishes in a scoreless tie against Holland Christian

The Trojans could not get one in the net, however they also managed to stop Holland Christian from scoring on Wednesday night.

Brady Brown, Bode Anspach, Braylon Marshall, and Jackson Rebone were credited with solid efforts by their coach.

The Trojans next game is on Monday in Fruitport against Allendale.
