Wednesday boys soccer roundup: Ludington remains perfect in WMC play, defeats Ravenna

The Ludington boys soccer squad continued their strong season with a 3-1 win over Ravenna in a West Michigan Conference game on Wednesday.

Parker Wendt, Ryan Millspaugh and Nate Wagner each scored a goal for the Orioles, while Spencer Holmes and Connor Wendt chipped in with an assist.

Ludington goalkeeper Connor Rudzki stopped two shots on net.

The Orioles are now 8-0 in league play and 15-1-1 overall on the season.

The Eagles outlast Whitehall in WMC boys soccer action

The Oakridge boys soccer team defeated Whitehall in a West Michigan Conference contest 3-1 on Wednesday night.

Arturo Romero and Vance Cerchiori each had a goal and an assist for the Eagles, while Zach Maitner added a goal and Tyler Lewis chipped in with an assist.

Oakridge goalkeeper Keegan Williamsen stopped 10 shots in net.

The Eagles improved to 10-5-1 on the season and 5-4 in league play.

Montague scores two late goals to defeat Fremont in league contest

The Montague boys soccer team doubled up Fremont 4-2 on Wednesday in West Michigan Conference play.

Jason Raeth opened the scoring for the Wildcats 20 minutes into the game.

The Packers responded three minutes later with a goal from Killian Prewitt to tie the game.

John Vissia responded on an early goal that was scored by the Wildcats to tie the game at 2-2.

Montague took its third lead of the contest with nine minutes remaining on a goal from Chris Abeig.

The Wildcats added another goal with three minutes left in the contest.

The shots on goal were even with both teams having 12 apiece.

Montague improved to 5-11-2 on the season and 2-5-1 in conference play, while the Packers fell to 4-11-1 on the year and 1-7 in league competition.

Dallyn Ellis scores two goals to pace North Muskegon over Hart 5-2 in boys soccer action

The North Muskegon boys soccer team cruised to a 5-2 win over Hart on Wednesday in West Michigan Conference play.

Dallyn Ellis paced the Norse with two goals while Brandon Winter added a goal and an assist. Jack

Bahorski and Max Lasser added goals for North Muskegon and Gabe Lenius and Serj Pastor each had assists.

North Muskegon’s goalkeeper Chase Zizak stopped seven shots on net for the Norse.

The Norse improved to 6-9-3 on the season and 4-2-2 in league play.
