Thursday volleyball roundup: Mona Shores improves to 16-6 with a straight set win over R-P

The Mona Shores volleyball team had an easy time on Thursday night, beating Reeths-Puffer in straight sets.

The scores were 25-21, 25-13, 25-8.

Ava Dunn had a big night for the Sailors with 11 kills while Jersey VanderWall and Grace Allen added six apiece.

Kyann Hellman set up the offense with 30 assists while serving seven aces. Izzy Sturtevant led the defense with nine digs.

Mona Shores is now 16-6 overall and 4-2 in O-K Green conference play.

Norse sweep Manistee in three sets

North Muskegon beat Manistee in all three sets with scores of 25-11, 25-5, and 25-8.

Offensive leaders for the night were Natalie Pannucci with 11 kills, Sami Baker with 23 assists and Fia Lindsay with eight aces.

Defensive leaders for North Muskegon were Jaley Shultz with seven digs, Baker with six digs and Joslynne Bogner with 3 blocks.

North Muskegon is now 11-6-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

WMC Warriors fall to Ludington

Western Michigan Christian kept the score close in all three sets, but still lost 3-0 to Ludington.

The set scores were 25-18, 25-20, 25-21.

Abby Leffring led WMC with 16 kills while Ashley Folkema added seven.

Kendal Young served up 26 assists for the Warriors.

Spring Lake falls to Unity Christian

The Lakers fell by scores of 25-23, 25-14 25-14.

Offensive leaders for Spring Lake were Anna Fumarolom, Ella Andree and Kalli Lukowski with five kills apiece and Avery Britt with eight assists and two aces.

Brooke Bolthouse and Andred led defensively with eight digs apiece. [2]
