The Spring Lake volleyball team went 3-0 in a home quad on Saturday, defeating Ludington 25-20, 25-23, Thornapple Kellogg 19-25, 25-15, 15-12, and Oakridge 25-5, 25-17.

Kalli Lewkowski paced the Lakers with 28 kills while Ella Andree added 16 kills.

Defensively, Brooke Bolthouse led Spring Lake with 40 digs on the day while Rylee Sabo totaled 25 and Andree finished with 21.

Sabo also added 31 assists to help Spring Lake improve to 12-4-2 on the season.

Whitehall goes 1-2 at Fruitport Invitational

Whitehall defeated host Fruitport 23-25, 25-19, 15-12 on Saturday before falling to Montague 25-22, 25-20 and Gull Lake 25-23, 12-25 and 15-10.

Arianna Black finished with 29 kills while Kayla Mulder added 21 kills for Whitehall.

Sydney Shepherd totaled 79 assists on the day while Chase Baker finished with 30 digs and four aces for the Vikings.

Reeths-Puffer has rough day, goes 1-3 at Caledonia Invitational

Reeths-Puffer lost to Grand Rapids South Christian and Forest Hills Eastern before defeating Coldwater and falling to Byron Center.

R-P’s Madisyn Dykema had a good day, totaling 31 kills, three digs and one ace while Megan Barnes added 13 digs and three aces.

Lauren Nelson totaled eight digs, six aces and four kills while Alissa Klopp and Sophia Hekkema each had eight kills.

Fruitport goes 2-2 at its own tournament

Fruitport lost to Whitehall and Gull Lake on Saturday but defeated Northpointe Christian and North Muskegon.

Sadie Haase led the Trojans with 25 kills and nine digs while Tara Sweet had a complete day with 28 digs, seven kills and two aces.

Raegan Dykstra finished with 28 digs and 15 assists for the Trojans.

Fruitport is now 8-11 overall on the season.

Montague goes 2-2 at Fruitport 

The Montague volleyball team defeated NorthPointe Christian and Whitehall on Saturday but fell to Grand Haven and Mona Shores.

Anastasia Trevino led the Wildcats with 28 kills and seven blocks on the day while Britta Johnson totaled 25 kills and eight digs.
Alissa Wynn finished with 38 digs for Montague.

North Muskegon has a tough day, posts a 1-3 record 

North Muskegon beat NorthPointe Christian but fell to Fruitport, Traverse City West and Grand Haven on Saturday at the Fruitport Invitational.

Natalie Pannucci had a complete day for North Muskegon, finishing with 27 kills, 24 digs and four blocks.

Allie Jensen also had a good day, totaling 29 digs, 21 kills and five aces while Sami Baker had 70 assists.

Mona Shores improves to 13-4 overall with 2-1 performance on Saturday

Mona Shores defeated NorthPointe Christian and Montague before falling to Gull Lake in the last match of the day at Fruitport.

Kyann Hellmann totaled 49 assists, 23 digs, three kills and two aces while Ava Dunn had 17 kills and three blocks.

Izzy Sturtevant had 17 digs and five aces for the Sailors while Chloe Rose totaled 12 digs.
