Sophomore quarterback Jonathon Pittman threw three touchdown passes in the first quarter to lead Mona Shores to an easy 48-14 victory over Wyoming on Friday in an O-K Green conference encounter.
Pittman connected with Jaylen Vinton for a 25-yard score, Dahmir Farnum for a 12-yard TD, and then Vinton again for a 21-yard strike.
The quarterback completed 10 of 15 passes for 138 yards with one interception.
[1]The Sailors added two more scores in the second quarter on a touchdown run by Farnum and a punt return TD by Vinton, then capped things off with a touchdown run by Bishop Davis in the fourth quarter.
Mona Shores’ top rusher was Tomarrion Steward, who gained 83 yards on one carry. Farnum totaled 79 yards on six carries.
Trent Rosenthal paced the Sailor defense with six tackles, Andrew Baker had four tackles and two assists while Brandon Bankard had three tackles and an interception.
Mona Shores, now 3-1, will host Grand Rapids Union, also 3-1, in a tough matchup next Friday.
