The Muskegon football team is on a winning streak after defeating Zeeland East 41-19 on Friday for a second straight win.

The Big Reds opened the scoring with a 25-yard touchdown pass from M’Khi Guy to Amariyan Glover, taking a 6-0 lead with 8:34 left in the first quarter. Zeeland East responded with a score to take a 7-6 lead after one quarter of play.

With just 1:24 left in the first half, Guy broke loose for a 23-yard run to give the Big Reds a 13-6 lead. Just before halftime, Guy found Da’Carion Taylor for an 11-yard touchdown to give Muskegon a 20-6 halftime lead.

CJ Ivy scored a defensive touchdown in the third quarter to extend the lead to 27-7 before Zeeland East responded to make the score 27-13 after three quarters.

Jacob Price found the end zone on a 13-yard run with 10:08 left to make the score 34-13.

Guy finished his night with a 57-yard touchdown pass to Destin Piggee to make the score 41-13 before a final Zeeland East touchdown ended the scoring.

Muskegon is now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in O-K Green Conference play, they’ll host Zeeland West next Friday.
