Mona Shores is in the driver’s seat for the O-K Green title after an impressive road win over Zeeland West Friday night. The Sailors now stand alone atop the standings after a 34-6 win. 

The Dux scored first on the game’s opening drive, but it was all Sailors from there. Mona Shores took the lead in the first quarter on a Jonathan Pittman 35-yard pass to Jaylen Vinton to make the score 7-6. 

The Sailors rattled off 21 more points in the second quarter. Pittman found Ke’Waun Farnum for a 32-yard touchdown and Dahmir Farnum ran in scores from 16 and 2 yards away.

Dahmir Farnum added another score in the fourth, a 1-yard plunge, to round out the scoring.

Mona Shores is now 5-1 on the season and 4-0 in the O-K Green. Zeeland West is also 5-1 on the season, but is now 3-1 in conference play. 

Mona Shores will play Zeeland East next week.
