Ludington picks up another win with a 45-21 victory over Manistee on Friday night

Dominant offense was the name of the game for the Ludington football team on Friday night, as they took down West Michigan Conference opponent Manistee 45-21.
Ludington jumped out to an early lead, with a field goal and a scoop-and-score by Daniel Rameriez to go up 10-0 in the second quarter.
Although Manistee brought it to within three after a touchdown of their own, a Chase Hackert pass to Nathan Gilchrist put the score at 17-7 entering the break.
The Orioles picked up right where they left off, as David Shillinger rumbled for a 45-yard score midway through the third quarter, extending the lead to 24-7.
Trey Forfinski ran one in to open up the fourth and push the lead to 31-13, before a Manistee score made the score 31-21.
The Orioles then rattled off two more scores to finish the game, a Hackert to Gilchrist passing touchdown and another Schillinger run respectively.
Hackert had a big night in the air, passing for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 7-of-9 attempts while Gilchrist hauled in 100 yards and two touchdowns.
On the ground for the Orioles, Forfinski went for 131 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts, with Shillinger running for 83 yards and two touchdowns on just three carries.
Forfinski and Gage Jones led the Oriole defense in tackles with 10, with Forfinski tackling three for a loss.
Ludington improves to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the WMC-Lakes, as they’ll travel to Whitehall next week in a high-stakes conference matchup.
